Pusillanimous Paul is, thankfully, not a threat to hold public office anytime soon; he remains, however, a self-styled Republican with policy ideas, and they are laughably inadequate. Seriously, I don't think you could slide a piece of paper between Ryan and Romney; they are two ineffectual peas in the same pod.
"Paul Ryan is dead wrong on culture war".
Here's the thing: you cannot separate the "culture war" from the political divide. It's all part of the same package. You really think the left unleashing child predators on the schools is different from the corruption of corporate media, both "news" and entertainment? You think it's somehow apart from the destruction of the economy, the opening of the borders, the burning of the cities, the politicization of the bureaucracy and the crippling of the military?
ReplyDeleteYou really think a drag queen twerking in the face of a first grader is not part of the war on the middle class? You think it's somehow entirely divorced from the assault on the national economy? You think ESG and CRT and DEI are trivial irrelvancies?
No Paul, it's all tied to Critical Theory, which was first imported to the US by the Frankfurt School in the 1930s. What the hell do you think was the point of the Gramscian long march through the institutions?
Yeah, for a brief time in 2012 I thought/hoped Ryan would pull Romney to the right, but he might as well be Romney now.
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday for the 14t Paco.
ReplyDeleteThanks, mate! Hope all is well with you and yours.
