Happy Feet Friday

I didn't know much about Merle Travis until I started listening to him in the last couple of years, but was interested to find out that he was an extremely influential guitarist, serving as an inspiration even to the great Chet Atkins. And, sadly, like so many musicians, he had a troubled life - booze, drugs, unstable marriages.
This is the kind of music my parents went honkytonkin' to when they were young. I like to listen to it now and then, just for old times' sake.
