Watched a video of cars being removed from the Fremantle Highway in the Netherlands. The focus is on removing the cars from the less damaged decks, and some cars were actually driven off under their own power.
ReplyDeleteBut I did see one EV, towed to the side port and then lifted off by crane. It was placed into a tank on the pier and immediately began smoking. Workers in PPE sprayed more water into the tank and covered it with a fire blanket. I have no idea how many EVs are coming off the ship, I assume the ship will be scrapped with the remains of the vehicles in place on the most affected decks.
This Granholm moment is worthy of a spot in Great Moments in Unintended Consequences.
