A few years ago, gullible ladies on my Facebook feed shared a pic of 'Palestinian children killed by Israel', which showed a bunch of obviously alive infants lying in rows with their eyes closed and some creepy guy standing over them to make sure none were peeking. I explained this to the ladies who are my FB friends, but I see that many are easily fooled.
When they actually do use dead bodies it's obvious they are brought from a morgue. With a population explosion in Gaza you get infant mortality - lots of dead infants: much easier to handle and transport than adults, and get a better emote response in staged pix. All similar size and dressed in a similar way by some props department. I despise the people doing this, and am very frustrated by popular inability to see evil right in front of them.
Was it John Calvin who summed up human nature as 'totally depraved'? Well it's certainly apparent in this case.
Instapundit just remarked that now would be a great time to plaster campuses with those "Islam is right about gays" and "Islam is right about women" stickers.

I guess most people can't bring themselves to consider gruesome stuff like corpse desecration.
ReplyDeleteOr just to think about what a recently deceased looks like. For example recent corpses often have eyes open, partly open, obviously lifeless eyes, frozen in unnatural poses like one eyelid lower than t'other, limbs twisted...
That's why we have funeral professionals.
I saw some film of multiple corpses spread around in the dark, at odd angles but evenly spaced as in an amateur movie, supposedly the 'hundreds dead' at the Gaza hospital. Some look like real corpses.
ReplyDeleteWell, it's a hospital. Every hospital has a morgue, often in the basement! Close proximity to hospital morgue would make it easier to drag out heavy adult corpses, so there were a lot of them in this film, which made the 'hundreds' claim possible! So they went for the full propaganda - because the morgue already full of bodies was right there!
Where did so many corpses come from? In a city of 5 million? A lot of natural deaths, then put them in the cooler and save them as props, families told funerals delayed until corpse no longer useable. Industrial scale gruesomeness.
