Glad to see that at least some police departments can still smell a rat

  1. Nothing to see, just more destruction of America as a high-trust society.
We non-far-left Americans cannot trust just about anybody except our tribe.

  2. I'm concerned about historical abuse of authority by all levels of government police, but also the rise of new volunteer patrol groups like Muslim Community Patrol Service (MCPS) first spotted in parts of Brooklyn and probably present in other communities. I'm guessing that they're just a community watch type thing like the Shomrim (and Shmira) in the Hasidic neighborhood and maybe will have some overly aggressive incidents too.

  4. It's probably nothing, just a community watch type thing, but I go down rabbit holes sometimes. I read about the 1946 Battle of Athens, where some people did something about corrupted local government and police that makes me distrustful of authority generally, but supportive of the Second Amendment. I'm sure that nothing like that will happen again.

  5. My experience (speaking as a retired federal employee) that many local authorities always view cooperation with any federal agency as a necessary evil. A lot of sheriffs demand (with complete legal authority, as I understand it) that ANY federal law enforcement agent entering their jurisdiction check into their office.

That said, this is a new level of distrust. We are viewing instability at its truest form.
