"There are countless horrible things happening all over the world and horrible people prospering, but we must never allow them to disturb our equanimity or deflect us from our sacred duty to sabotage and annoy them whenever possible." -Auberon Waugh
Wow, that sounds like the exotica genre which was big in the later 1950s with people like Martin Denny. I see Les Baxter began playing in Slack's band during WW2. Then in 1951 Baxter made the first recording of Quiet Village which was Martin Denny's biggest hit. So Baxter forms a direct link from Slack to the later exotica fad.
ReplyDeleteA very exotic boogie-woogie.
Exotic is a good word for it.
