    I have to admit, I didn't know that the blades could be sharpened that way. On the other hand, I only pushed those beasts as a youngster.

  2. I had to look up another video on "backlapping" mower blades, using a sharpening compound. I'm still not sure I understand how it works.

    1. I didn't look anything up, but sharpening blades requires a rough surface. Perhaps the sharpening compound is an abrasive that works when the blades hit the bottom plate (which is adjustable).

  3. That's a lot of work to fix something I still have nightmares about.
    Watching someone use their self-propelled mower while I puuuuuuuuuuushed that sonomabatch around was not fun.
