Happy Feet Friday

Bob Zurke first attained popularity as the pianist for Bob Crosby's orchestra, ultimately leaving to form his own group, the Delta Rhythm Band. He ended his days playing piano at the Hangover Club in Los Angeles, and, sadly, as was the case with so many self-indulgent musicians, died at the young age of 32, from pneumonia and acute alcohol poisoning in 1944.

Here he is with the Delta Rhythm boys performing a bold, brassy blues tune that practically sashays down the street.
