Mmm, what's cookin'?

Now that warmer weather has returned, you outdoorsy types who like camping will want to make sure you take adequate provisions into the wild. So, just in time, Paco Enterprises' consumer products division has introduced a line of canned goods for the trail: Roadkill Du Jour.

In case you missed it, on 1 April the Dept of the Interior announced that they will be renaming some native wildlife to better reflect American values. So the raccoon will henceforth be known as the Liberty Bandit.

  2. Eat More Pork is what the raccoon is saying.

Okay, I'll do that. There's probably a good reason raccoon isn't on the menu of fine dining establishments. Or McDonalds selling "millions and millions" of raccoon burgers.

Though I gotta ask, what do you do with the rest of the raccoon once you have the hat?

  3. I find myself unwillingly contemplating what it would be like to work in a skunk cannery.

  4. This is not quite the same, but I was at a gun show last weekend, and one of the vendors had items of apparel, all made from the furs of various animals, foxes, coyotes, etc.

Including mittens made from skunk fur.

I didn't buy those, they were too small for me.

  5. I can honestly say I've never seen Canned Wombat on the shelves anywhere. On the other hand, I can confirm that roo steak is quite tasty.
